Description: white to white solid, insoluble in water.

Use: Tetrabenzyl galactose is a precursor for the synthesis of many active drug components and intermediates. It is widely used in the synthesis of drug intermediates, glycoconjugates, molecular probes and polysaccharides.

Tetrabenzyl galactose can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of acyclovir derivatives, or as an intermediate in the synthesis of galactose-terminated diacylglycerol polyethylene glycol.

Using tetrabenzyl galactose as raw material, -galactoside-pyrimidine (-galactoside-H N J) can be prepared by Wittig chain extension reaction and cyclocytosis according to the literature, which can enhance the activity of mutant enzyme in lysosomal storage disorder and provide a treatment for patients with lysosomal storage disorder.

It can be easily converted into tetrbenzyl galactose derivatives with high reactivity, such as fluorine, chlorine, iodine and trichloroacetylimide. Used in the synthesis of glycoconjugates, such as intermediates for the synthesis of novel immunosuppressive glycolipids derivatives for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. Tebenzyl galactose can be used in the synthesis of molecular probes, such as a biosensor that anchors the sugar chain to a substrate surface such as gold as a conventional biosensor using sugar compounds, and the polymer can be effectively used for qualitative and quantitative bacterial or toxin analysis.
